Word Work

In the classroom, we will focus on expanding vocabulary and proper language use.  Spelling will be on a more individual basis depending on each student's needs.

Word Work

Students are learning about the parts of speech and the proper way to use them within thier writing.  Below is a link to a wiki that includes what students should know and be able to do by the end of 4th grade.

Language/Grammar

Students are learning a variety of new words this year within all content areas.

 

Along with these words, each week students will have 7-10 words to practice in class that are based on knowing what parts of words mean (roots, prefixes, suffixes).
